Convention of Doctoral Researchers
The Convention of Doctoral Researchers is the association of all doctoral researchers accepted at the KIT Department of Chemical and Process Engineering central interest group.
The Convention is the contact for doctoral researchers in all phases of their doctorate. It also supports those who aspire to do a doctorate at the KIT Department of Chemical and Process Engineering but have not (yet) been accepted as a doctoral candidate. The Convention actively supports the interests of doctoral researchers at the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering and acts as their central interest group.
From among its members, the Convention appoints three persons who form the Executive Board. The board represents the convention externally and in the KIT committees. It represents the interests of its doctoral researchers and the resolutions of the Convention's plenary meeting, which takes place every semester, in the Department Council, in the Advisory Board of the Doctoral Researchers and in the Study Commission. In addition, the Convention can organize its own work and take a stand on university policy issues.
Stay in Touch
All members are informed about relevant events and developments, such as changes in the doctoral regulations, via the mailing list. The voluntary and non-binding mailing list of CIW doctoral researchers can be found at: https://www.lists.kit.edu/sympa/info/ciw-docs
For the exchange of information and elections, a plenary meeting is held every semester, in which all accepted doctoral researchers of the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering can participate and are entitled to vote.
If you have any questions, suggestions or are looking for support, doctoral researchers can contact the board at any time.
